This privacy policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information when you use the AviatorsEcho mobile application. By using the app, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. Collection and use of information
When you use the AviatorsEcho app, we collect the following information:
Account information
To use the app, you need an existing AviatorsEcho account. The app uses your account credentials to authenticate you via our API. Account registration and subscription management are handled through our website at https://aviatorsecho-zohiefo4.on-forge.com and are not part of the app.
Location data
The app uses your device's GPS to record your flight track. Location data is collected only while you are actively recording a flight. This data is stored locally on your device as a GPX file and uploaded to your AviatorsEcho account via our API when you choose to do so. We do not collect your location in the background or outside of an active recording session.
Log data
When you use the app, or in case of an error, we may collect log data via third-party services. This may include your device's IP address, device name, operating system version, app configuration, and the time and date of use.
How we use your data
We use the collected data to:
- Authenticate you and provide access to your account
- Record and store your flight tracks
- Improve the performance and reliability of the app
Data storage and security
Your flight data is uploaded to and stored on the AviatorsEcho platform, which runs on the Digital Ocean cloud infrastructure. All data is transmitted exclusively via secure TLS connections protected by authorisation tokens. No method of electronic storage or transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Removal of data
You can delete your data at any time via the account settings on the AviatorsEcho website, using the "Reset" option in your profile.
Children's privacy
The app is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately remove it from our servers. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page and take effect immediately. We encourage you to check this page regularly.
